Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) used on mydeliveryservice.co.uk by My Delivery Service Ltd, why we use them, and how you can control them. We only use non-essential cookies with your consent, as required by the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
Cookies and storage we use
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| mds-cookie-consent | This site (local storage) | Remembers your cookie choices and when you made them, so we don't ask again and can show we have your consent. | Essential | Until you clear it |
| i18nextLng | This site (local storage) | Remembers the language you chose for the site. | Essential | Until you clear it |
| driver-portal | This site (cookie) | Keeps the driver portal unlocked after a driver enters the access code. Only set if you use the portal. | Essential | 30 days |
| sb-*-auth-token | This site (local storage) | Keeps staff signed in to the site's admin tools. Only set for staff who sign in. | Essential | Until sign-out |
| NID, AEC, SOCS and similar | Google (google.com) | Set by Google when the embedded Google Map on the Contact page loads, for Google's own purposes such as preferences and security. | Maps & embedded content | Up to 13 months |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Not currently used. Would only be set if we add analytics and you allow the Analytics category. | Analytics | Up to 2 years |
Essential cookies
Essential cookies and storage are needed for the site to function and to remember choices you make. Under PECR they don't require consent, but we still list them here.
Optional cookies
Optional cookies are switched off by default. The Google Map on our Contact page is not loaded until you allow "Maps & embedded content" — until then you'll see a placeholder instead. Analytics will never load unless you allow "Analytics".
If you reject or ignore the cookie banner, no optional cookies are set.
Changing your choice
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, or the button below. If you withdraw consent, we stop loading the related content and remove any analytics cookies we can. Cookies set by Google on google.com can be cleared in your browser settings.
Links to other sites
Links to Facebook, Google Maps directions and other sites take you to those services, which have their own cookie and privacy policies.
