What we collect

Driver applications: your name, email address, phone number, your answers to our screening questions (about your driving licence, whether you have any active endorsements, right to work, whether you are 18 or over, delivery experience, whether anything would stop you lifting parcels up to 20kg, and working preferences) and anything you write in the free-text box.

Callback requests: your name, phone number, email address, postcode, preferred call time and answers to our quick eligibility questions.

Driver portal: we don't collect personal information at the access-code screen.

Technical information: like all websites, our hosting provider processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

We use application and callback information to assess your suitability for a self-employed delivery role, contact you about your application, and keep a record of applications. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in recruiting reliable drivers.

Your answer about lifting may relate to your health. We only use it to understand whether the physical side of the role suits you and to consider reasonable adjustments.

Information about endorsements on your licence relates to driving offences. We only use it to check whether we can insure you to drive our vans, and it is always reviewed by a person.

Our system sorts applications by score to help our team prioritise them. No application is turned down automatically: a member of our team reviews every application before any decision is made, and you can ask us to reconsider or to explain a decision.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers who process information on our behalf: our website and database hosting provider, Picot Social (the agency that builds and maintains this website, which receives a copy of each application by email to make sure the system is working), Google (Google Sheets, used by our hiring team to manage applications, and Google Maps if you allow it), and Resend (to send application emails). We do not sell your information.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations apply.

How long we keep it

We keep application and callback information for up to 12 months after your last contact with us, unless you become a driver with us, in which case it forms part of your engagement records. We then delete it.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. To use these rights, write to us at the address below or use our Contact page.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).
